Somerset Academies of Texas is committed to fostering academic success and social well-being for all students.  A comprehensive testing program is one essential component of a student's academic experience. The district and campuses evaluate the data gathered from tests in order to plan instruction that focuses on the needs of each student.

The Somerset Academoes of Texas Accountability & Assessment Office is responsible for the coordination and overall implementation of state and local assessments.  The department supports campuses and district personnel by providing training and information regarding testing and accountability policy and procedures and assures that state regulations are followed for the security and confidentiality of all state tests. The Accountability & Assessment Office, in collaboration with other departments, works to ensure that results are accurate in reflecting the progress of our students and promotes best practices in order for students to reach their goals towards graduation and college & career preparation.

This department site is designed to provide staff members, students, parents, and community members with information about the following state testing programs.
    • STAAR
    • STAAR Spanish
    • STAAR ALT2

STAAR Results Online

STAAR assessment results will be available to families in the TexasAssessment.gov Family Portal.
STAAR results will show families and educators how disruptions over the past year impacted learning.
Next year, teachers can use results, along with district report cards and family input, to create plans to support their students’ academic progress. STAAR results will not be used to evaluate teachers or rate schools; they are for informational purposes only and are meant to highlight areas of success and opportunities for additional support.
