What are the sanitation and safety rules for the school cafeteria?
Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, equipment, dishes, and utensils before and after use. Keep raw and cooked/ready-to-eat foods separate. Use separate cutting boards, utensils, and equipment for raw and cooked/ready-to-eat foods. Dispose of cracked or chipped dishes, glassware, or utensils.
A clean and hygienic cafeteria provides a safe environment for students to eat their meals without the risk of foodborne illnesses. It also promotes a sense of comfort and safety among students, as they are more likely to enjoy a nutritious meal when they see that the cafeteria is clean.
